I’ve spent a couple of weekends in London over the last few weeks, but was mainly being a very bad blogger and concentrating on catching up with some of my favourite people rather than taking photos (oops). I did go on a bit of an Instagram spree during a day in Camden with my friend Laura over the Easter bank holiday and thought I’d share a few of my favourite pictures with you. It was a bit of a slow start to the day, having stayed up til around 4am the night before catching up with Laura’s brother and his girlfriend over a few glasses (read bottles) of wine, so we headed to Camden around lunchtime. Camden Town is one of my favourite areas of London; it is crowded and a bit touristy but I love the festival atmosphere, the characters and most of all the famous markets. We wandered around the stalls at Camden Lock in the sunshine and ate troughs of tasty Thai food from one of the many market vendors, who will give you a huge box with a taster of different curries, noodles and fried yumminess for just £5. We spent a long time burrowing into piles of vintage clothes and knick knacks in the covered Horse Tunnel Market, and had drinks overlooking the river. Ending the day in a pub with charcoal walls and Amy Winehouse tributes scrawled on the toilet doors, we ended up featuring in a music video for an unsigned artist being filmed on the roof terrace – the kind of random magic Camden brings.
